Many thanks to everyone who made our 2018 Slow Food Chef Showcase a success--from our 12 generous chefs to the farmers who grew the ingredients, to City Roots for hosting us, and to the Slow Food enthusiasts who volunteered, bought tickets (and posted these Instagram stories) to support our community projects. We can't wait to do it again next year!
and FOR fun!
Slow Food Columbia is one of 200+ Slow Food USA chapters. Our mission is to support the movement behind GOOD, CLEAN, and FAIR foodways in the South Carolina Midlands and beyond.
Our chapter organizes workshops, potlucks and other events and projects throughout the year. We work to strengthen the connections of local food community members and educate the public about the importance of knowing where our food comes from.
Meet us at City Roots on April 28
Slow Food Columbia is excited to be participating in the Back to the Roots Festival, celebrating the 10th anniverary of City Roots Urban Farm. Our Ark of Taste champions will be there, to answer your questions about regional foods, their history and Slow Food's mission to preserve it all.
We're an all-volunteer organization eager to involve everyone in our community who cares about the Slow Food mission:
